• 3 cups masa flour
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 pinch sugar
  • 1 tsp Chick’N style seasoning
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 3/4 cups puréed corn


1 Mix masa ,salt,sugar, and baking powder
2 Add butter and crumble evenly into the flour mixture with your hands, until it has a sandy texture.
3 Mix chick’N seasoning and water to create a broth. Add broth and corn to the mixture.
4 the consistency should be similar to mashed potatoes.

Assemble tamales as seen on video and steamed for 45mins to an hour.
